Do you need to have character to lead a great business?

(We will come on to caricatures later!)

Here is an interesting quotation:

“Character refers to the person’s moral and ethical qualities. It consists of beliefs and moral principles that can guide their behaviour in discrete ways. Personality is the sum of a person’s physical, psychological, emotional, and social aspects that are manifested through behaviour and actions,” says Tara M. Lally, PhD,

So it seems that when discussing character, personality comes into play.

In my experience, most great business leaders possess a good character and a good personality - but not all.

I have met many leaders of great businesses who have a solid character but no personality; conversely, I have met many leaders of great businesses who totally lack moral and ethical qualities. There are some great examples in the public domain!

At Pabasso - Peer Advisory Board Associates we  work with MDs & CEOs of good character with good personalities.

Which leads me on to caricatures. 

I thought it might be a nice touch to get an artist to come to one of our Pabasso meetings to create some caricatures of the attendees.
